After travelling 27,000 km around Australia and only one state away from being home we had our first tyre puncture.

We were driving the crazy back roads of Tullymorgan and Lawrence when 200m from the single lane bitumen road the back tyre decided to get a hole in it.

We were in a crappy spot to change it, there was only a wet slopping ditch and a single lane road. We had to choose the ditch as to not get hit while trying to change it.

Gav worked with the crappy situation and with a malfunctioning hi lift jack, we had to rely on the tiny standard one to lift the car up. After many challenging minutes later Gav had successfully changed the wheel without the car falling on him or being crushed.

We are glad to have reached the end of that dirt road and don’t plan on driving that way again.
